A medieval-style map of King Arthur s England and Camelot, as described by Sir Thomas Malory in Le Morte d Arthur (The Death of Arthur), one of the most well-known versions of Arthur s tale. The visual style of this map is inspired by the famous world map of Fra Mauro, from 1450, and the quotations about Arthur are taken from Caxton s edition of Malory s text, c. 1485. Charming illustrations of castles and key events from the tales dot the landscape, including Lancelot and Guenevre, Excalibur, and the Lady of the Lake. This archival fine art print is made from my original artwork, done on genuine goatskin parchment with sumi ink and acrylic paint. The print measures 8 x 10 inches and is professionally matted in a black mat to fit an 11 x 14 inch frame. The artwork is professionally printed using an Epson Artisan 1430 with Claria inks on premium luster paper, a combination which has a laboratory-tested lifespan of more than 100 years. You will be able to hand this map down as an heirloom to future generations. Your art print is shipped with a protective plastic sleeve in a sturdy cardboard mailer to prevent any damage during shipping.
